‘The Great Bristol Colouring Challenge'

With world of colouring books being all the rage we thought all that mindful activity should come together in one giant colourful scene. Take a break from the hustle and bustle and join the Folk House in creating a recognisable scene with all your colouring magic. Pop along at anytime grab a pencil or pen and get scribbling, shading and doodling and enjoy this meditative activity. All welcome. No colouring experience necessary.

'Fabric printing with recycling'

Come join the Folk House for a mini workshop in how you can use simple printmaking techniques and recycled materials to create a fun and vibrant picture or pattern onto fabric. You don't need any fancy materials just have a rummage in your recycling bin. All welcome.

The Great Bristol Colouring Challenge

With the world of colouring in being all the rage due to its mindful benefits, Folk House has teamed up with Bristolian artist Lisa Malyon for a colouring-in session with a difference.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the fair, grab a pen and get scribbling, shading and doodling giant images of the city.

For all ages

Friday late, 5 - 8pm

More giant colouring-in fun with Lisa Malyon and Folk House for all ages. Bring your glass of wine and literally colour in your city!

Saturday 9 September 3 – 4pm

Print-a-tote and recycle! 

Not only do tote bags keep plastic bags out of landfill but also you can customise them as you want. Come join Folk House for a mini workshop in using simple printmaking techniques

and recycled materials to create a fun and vibrant picture or pattern on to fabric. For all ages.

Sunday 10 September 3 – 5pm

Doll Parts: A Family Workshop

Join artist Alice Vaughan and Folk House Bristol to create your own sculptural figures. With their help you will decorate, stuff and sew and bring your creation to life!

Children must be supervised by an adult and sewing will be done of the child’s behalf by staff members.

Bristol Folk House

For almost 100 years, the Bristol Folk House based on Park Street has been providing the local community with courses and workshops in a welcoming and relaxed environment. Proud of being totally self-funded and not for profit we provide an opportunity for over 18s to learn anything from pottery to painting to creative writing to guitar. Adult education is important to expand ones knowledge and learn new skills as well as improving ones mental health and wellbeing.
