Alys Paterson

Alys Paterson studied Illustration at Falmouth College of Arts.
Alys likes to paint the scenes she discovers in her imagination, beautiful wild gardens where the birds sing love songs, Hansel and Gretel forests and the places you find at the end of the rainbows.
Alys finds inspiration is to be found everywhere but especially in nature, memory, music, books and love. The work she develops is very colourful and highly decorative, yet still has a feeling of fragility and deeper symbolism.
Nowadays Alys lives and works in Bristol, where she spends her time painting, screenprinting, daydreaming and collecting snowglobes and Russian dolls.
