Room Hire

Apart from all the other wonderful stuff we do, we also hire rooms (when available), with a capacity of between 10 and 180 people, for personal or group use. Please phone/e-mail for availability. The café bar is not available for hire during the week during term times.

Booking Information:
• For hall/bar bookings, there is a set up fee of £6 per hour.
• Please note that there is a service charge of £7 for room bookings when opening or closing outside of our normal hours.
• Please note that discounts are available for regular and on-going bookings.
• Payment for Block Bookings is required within 30 days of last date of room hire.
• For single room hire bookings balance of payment is required at least one week before the date of room hire.
• A discount of 10% is available for 3+ sessions booked in advance.
• A discount of 20% is available for 10+ sessions booked in advance.
• A 30% non-returnable deposit is required for all bookings.
• Please note that charities and non-profit organisations are eligible for a 10% discount on single room-bookings.
• Video, OHP, Slide Projector, Flipchart and CD/Cassette player are available for hire at £6 per booking per day. These must be booked in advance.
• The Folk House will not be held responsible for any behaviour/actions of the hirer or their representatives at any time whether on or off the premises, including acts of promotion and publicity such as fly-posting.
• Much as we would like to provide access to all, the Folk House has no disabled access.
