New Summer courses out now!

Our new Summer Term prospectus is out now with lots of new and exciting courses rubbing shoulders with your old favourites! 10 week, 5 week and one day courses will all be on offer.

The Summer Term will run from Monday 26th April to Monday 12th July. Half term will be the week commencing Monday 31st May.

As always, please remember to enrol early as many of our courses do fill up quickly and we would hate for you to miss the show! Just give our office a ring on 0117 926 2987 and we will be happy to help.

Saturday Shorts Scriptwriting Competition

Thank you to all of you who entered our Saturday Shorts Scriptwriting Competition. It is now closed and we are in the process of choosing the winners!

We had an overwhelming response, with over 200 of you sending us your work - it's proving very difficult to judge! We will contact the winners by the end of March.

A script-in-hand performance of the winning scripts will be held in the Folk House Hall on Saturday 8th May. Tickets cost £5, which goes towards the upkeep of the Folk House, and the performance starts at 8pm. It would be great to see you all there!

Beth Stephenson

A exhibition of painted postcards by Bristol artist Beth Stephenson from her travels to South America and return to the city. "My work constantly changes to reflect my surroundings and stage in life. I work predominantly with acrylics, watercolour and photography. I am always inspired by the people, landscapes and architecture I see on my travels. I began small scale watercolour paintings when I went travelling round South America and painted postcards to send home. When I returned to Bristol I missed the regular painting and so continued to paint postcards of Bristol scenes for a while. I love working with colour and pattern and aim to create striking designs. "
