Bristol Bluegrass Day

7th Bristol Bluegrass Day

Friday 27th and Saturday 28th February 2015

2 Days of Bluegrass Music and Workshops.

This year the Saturday evening concert line-up includes Cardboard Fox, The Goat Roper Rodeo Band, The Hogranch, Acoustic Bridge and The New Thunderbridge Bluegrass Band.

A new Friday evening performance of the cult bluegrass musical comedy Fat Shirley, A Trailer Park Opera presented by the 3 Chords Theatre Company, and feature the Bluegrass Days host hand the Hogranch.

Jazz & Blues Festival 2015

This years Jazz and Blues Festival will involve around 150 free and ticketed events at Colston Hall, The Folk House and Watershed. Some of this year's highlights include The Big Swing Dance with the 17-piece Bruce/llett Big Band, a unique Louis Armstrong Celebration featuring very special guests from New Orleans and Cartoon Jazz with the Big Buzzard Boogie Band.

Special workshops will be held at The Folk House all weekend.

Pip Seymour Free Day Event

Pip Seymour will be hosting a free event day at the Bristol Folk House in connection with Bristol Fine Art.

Join us in the Bristol Folk House Hall for a day of demonstrations and a chance to meet the makers of this wonderful paint.

Drop in & Draw every Friday

Our popular Drop in & Draw sessions run each Friday during term time. There is no tuition in these sessions but the model is provided so just come along with your drawing materials and get drawing!

Every Friday during term time 10:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 15:00.

£7 for one session or £10 for both

Sessions for the Autumn Term will be held on the following dates:

16th, 23rd, 30th January

6th, 13th, 27th February

6th, 13th, 20th, 27th March

Please note that spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis in person only (you cannot pay for someone who is due to arrive later). We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to give yourself the best chance of getting a place and do arrive on time as you will not be allowed into the classroom once the class has started.
