Spring Term 2016

Our new Spring Term Programme will be out on Tuesday 17th November. Enrolments will open at 9.00am.Please pick up a programme from reception or visit the website. You can enrol in person, on the phone or by post.

Please note: Some courses (e.g. Pottery, Dressmaking and Art History) are extremely popular and fill up quickly. To avoid disappointment please enrol early in person or on the phone, or become a Co-op member and take advantage of early enrolment.

Folk House Co-op members will be able to enrol from 9.00am Monday 16th November. If you would like to sign up to the Co-op in order to take advantage of this exclusive enrolment day, you will need to do so by 12.00pm on Wednesday 10th November. Yearly membership to the Folk House Co-op costs £12 and more information can be found above.

Please note that Folk House Co-op members can only enrol themselves on courses on Monday 16th November, you cannot enrol family or friends unless they too are members.

Bristol Folk House Darkroom

The Bristol Folk House has a brand new, purpose built wet-based photography facility, which is available for use to darkroom members and users from the beginning of August. The darkroom offers a programme of brand new exciting traditional photography courses and workshops throughout the year.

Darkroom Facilities include, 7 black and white enlargers 35mm/ medium/large format, Black and white film development facilities, print finishing facilities, technical support and chemistry.

Becoming a member gives you greater flexibility and the benefits of, 6 days per week availability, which include evenings and Saturdays, exclusively for members and discounted session rates.

at The Bristol Folkhouse, 40A Park Street, Bristol, BS1 5JG.

Concert Friday night. Workshops, open mic, open jam and concert Saturday.

Bands appearing: The Ben Somers String Band,The Grass Snakes, Heather Bristow, The Hogranch, The Jolenes, The Kentucky Cow Tippers and The Vanguards.

Gift Vouchers are available from the Folk House reception in person or over the phone. You can choose an amount (valid for 1 year) or book a particular course or workshop.

Got a favourite cover from over the years? Folk House postcards are now available from reception, only 50p or 4 for £1.50. Collect all 8.

Drop in & Draw - Friday

Our popular Drop in & Draw sessions run each Friday during term time. There is no tuition in these sessions but the model is provided so just come along with your drawing materials and get drawing!

Every Friday during term time 10:00 - 13:00

£10 for one session.

Sessions for the Autumn and Spring Term will be held on the following dates:

6th, 13th, 20th, 27th November

4th, 11th December

8th, 15th, 22nd,29th January

5th, 19th, 26th February

4th, 11th, 18th March

Please note that spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis in person only, on the day (you cannot pay for someone who is due to arrive later). We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to give yourself the best chance of getting a place. You must arrive before 10 am as we have a strict policy that no one is allowed to enter the classroom after this time. This is due to the disruption of the class and the privacy of the model.
