Join us for our annual Summer Flea Market where our lovely local and independent stall holders will be in full swing!! They will be selling everything from vintage clothing & accessories, bric-a-brac, homewares, books, records and much much more. The cafe will be serving delicious food all day.

Summer Schools 2016

Enrolment for our Summer Schools 2016 will take place from 9am Tuesday 7th June.
We have lots of new and exciting workshops on offer as well as some old favourites.
The Summer Schools appears on the top toolbar of the website when it goes live on the 7th June for you to view the workshops on offer

Join Our Choir
A brand new community choir in the heart of Bristol, open to all ages (16+) and abilities. No audition - come along and have a go in a welcoming and friendly environment. The choir will sing an eclectic mix of interesting arrangements, from contemporary, to pop, to world music all arranged for a cappella voices.
Welcoming all singers including complete beginners. The ability to read music is not necessary as the music will be mostly taught by ear.
Run by Heg Brignall - musician, choir leader and voice coach. Heg runs several choirs and music projects in Bristol and has a passion for a cappella harmony singing. She injects this passion into her teaching with energy and fun, incorporating techniques to help you develop your harmony singing skills and vocal ability.
The choir will evolve based on who joins and the collective interests of the group - come and help shape it.
Summer Opening Times
Our Spring term ends on Saturday 19th March.We will then be open Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday - Saturday 9am - 4pm.
Our Summer Term starts on the Saturday 23rd April when we will return to normal opening times.
Our Pottery pick up times will be Thursday 24th March 4pm - 7pm and Friday 25th March 5pm - 6.30pm. If the front gate is locked please access the pottery from Culver Street.
Summer Term 2016
Our new Summer Term Programme will be out on Tuesday 8th March. Enrolments will open at 9.00am.>Please pick up a programme from reception or visit the website. You can enrol in person, on the phone or by post.
Please note: Some courses (e.g. Pottery, Dressmaking and Art History) are extremely popular and fill up quickly. To avoid disappointment please enrol early in person or on the phone

Bristol Folk House Darkroom
The Bristol Folk House has a brand new, purpose built wet-based photography facility, which is available for use to darkroom members and users from the beginning of August. The darkroom offers a programme of brand new exciting traditional photography courses and workshops throughout the year.
Darkroom Facilities include, 7 black and white enlargers 35mm/ medium/large format, Black and white film development facilities, print finishing facilities, technical support and chemistry.
Becoming a member gives you greater flexibility and the benefits of, 6 days per week availability, which include evenings and Saturdays, exclusively for members and discounted session rates.

Drop in & Draw - Friday
Our popular Drop in & Draw sessions run each Friday during term time. There is no tuition in these sessions but the model is provided so just come along with your drawing materials and get drawing!
Every Friday during term time 10:00 - 13:00
£10 for one session.
Sessions for the Summer Term will be held on the following dates:
6th May, 13th May, 20th May, 27th May,
10th June, 17th June, 24th June
1st July, 8th July
Please note that spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis in person only, on the day (you cannot pay for someone who is due to arrive later). We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to give yourself the best chance of getting a place. You must arrive before 10 am as we have a strict policy that no one is allowed to enter the classroom after this time. This is due to the disruption of the class and the privacy of the model.
