Description

Mindfulness is increasingly recognised as a life-changing way to help us deal with the stress and pressure that we can experience from the fast pace of modern life. It can help us to embrace life and be kinder to ourselves, whatever comes our way. Start your weekend in the healthy way, with this morning 10 week saturday morning course. Mindfulness focuses on promoting joy and peace rather than banishing unhappiness. Through regular practice it can help you feel more at ease, reducing anxiety, stress and irritability, and nurturing you to flourish.

This can help you access more moments of calm and respond more positively to everyday challenges or difficult experiences, as well as boosting overall wellbeing. Through regular practice you can feel better, reduce stress and improve your resilience. The course is perfect for you if you sometimes feel overwhelmed or worn out by trying to keep up with the constant demands of the modern world and would like to try a different approach. Perhaps you're new to mindfulness and want to try it out for the first time. Or perhaps you have tried it in the past and would like some support to develop a regular practice.

Whatever your interest, this online course will enable you to explore mindfulness in the comfort of your own home, through weekly classes and discussion. You are encouraged to practice in between classes and resources and recordings to support you in this are provided free of charge. The course is suitable for most people aged 18 and above who are new to practising mindfulness or have some experience. Please ask to speak to the teacher in confidence before the course if you have any questions, or have mental health concerns or chronic health conditions, so that you can make sure it is the right time for you to take this course, contact the Folk House office if you would like to be put in touch with the tutor.

This is an online course, please check material lists section below for extra details.
