Description

In this two - day workshop you'll receive an in depth exploration of colour harmony and how to achieve a variety of gestures. Focusing on painting portraits from photographs you will develop knowledge on how to apply oil paints in exciting and expressive ways. The workshop will involve a presentation of contemporary artists to inspire you and a demonstration by the tutor of how to begin. Then you will be led on a practical exploration of using colour with different types of brushes (sometimes in unconventional ways) and a selection of palette knives. Use oil paint liberally with effective colour techniques. This workshop focuses on being supportive and giving appropriate guidance to match the level of the learner. Oil paints and boards will be provided. Suitable for new painters and the experienced.

This workshop is for two days, Saturday 3rd August to Sunday 4th August, 10.00- 4.30 pm.
