About
Zoe has 14 years experience running her own business, Zoe Gibbons Studio, in mixed media product design. She is a visual artist who specialises in collage and free hand machine embroidery. Since 2019 she has been salvaging billboard posters and reforming them into images of Bristol. She exhibits in galleries and sells her work internationally. Recently awarded Arts Council funding she is currently exploring scaling stitch and collage through local heritage stories.
Zoe has a background in watercolour painting, but developed her love for creative textiles and mixed media 16 years ago when attending an adult education college following the birth of her daughters. This organic creative journey has led to her teaching workshops, keen to encourage others to develop new skills and explore creative possibilities. She also teaches at her own studio in Barton Hill, in schools and community settings.
