Enjoy drawing and painting beautiful flowers from observation. An inspiring course that gives step by step techniques in using watercolour, pencil and pens. A six week course. All Levels welcome.
Please bring: Pencils (B), Rubber (putty), Sharpener, Ruler, A4 watercolour paper (300 gsm/140lb, 'cold pressed'. Brushes (round sizes 4 and 8), Plastic palette, Watercolour paints (Cotman, Winsor & Newton in tubes): ultramarine blue or cobalt blue, cadmium yellow, permanent rose, raw sienna.</p> Dear Student, If you want to add other items to your water colour kit to bring, then extra brushes like round sizes 2, 6, 10 and paints like Windsor Blue, which is a turquise blue, or Phthalo Blue. Lemon Yellow, Sap Green and Camium Red (light). These additional colours are all recommended, but not essential. Also good to bring some sketch paper A4 size. Pens to use will be recommended by the tutor in the class. Due to COVID19 please make sure you bring everything required on the materials list as equipment will not be able to be shared. The tutor may provide some materials for your course or workshop which will be distributed following our guidelines. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
Please note: All 10, 8 and 12 week courses have a half term break in the middle. For term dates please visit our ‘Contact us’ page. We are not open on bank holiday Monday’s and any class that falls on these days will be made up at the end of term.

If a course has already started please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
