This day course offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself as the seasons shift. Tutor Holly invites you to explore the beauty of Autumn through watercolours, while cultivating a sense of calm and creative clarity. Holly will guide you step-by-step as you paint Autumnal plants and fungi, helping you grow your creative confidence in a mindful and supportive environment.
Throughout the session, you will be encouraged to focus on the process of creation, rather than the final product, and to let go into the peaceful flow of the moment. Whether you are new to painting or more experienced, this course is open to all, and no previous art experience is required. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore.
What you will learn and take away:
~ Gentle warm-up drawing techniques to relax and centre your body and mind
~ Practical watercolour tips to build your painting skills with confidence
~ A mindful approach to creativity, focusing on process over outcome
~ A deeper connection to the natural world through artistic expression
~ A mini portfolio of Autumnal artworks to carry with you
~ A sense of calm, clarity, and connection to yourself as you engage in the creative flow

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
