In Qigong exercise we bring body, breath and mind together to activate and direct the Qi (breath/life-energy) that invigorates our being. We use traditional postures and movements to correct physical and energetic imbalances that might be causing discomfort, and thereby work to recover a natural strength and ease of movement that spills over into all aspects of life.
These exercises are about giving you the tools you need to take charge of your own journey towards health and wellbeing. There is no wrote repetition of movement, you get to know your own body, discover for yourself where you need to work, and you set your own pace, meaning that the exercises can be performed as strongly or as gently as you need.
Try Qigong for yourself and start to feel good from the inside out.
This class is well suited to those with any leg or general health problems as it is less physically demanding. This is also a good route for beginners who may want to eventually join Andrew's Tai Chi course.
Please wear loose clothing and flat soled shoes, and bring some water to drink.
Please note: All 10, and 12 week courses have a half term break in the middle. For term dates please visit our Contact us page. We are not open on bank holiday Mondays and any class that falls on these days will be made up at the end of term.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
