Tai Chi and Tea

'Tai Chi and Tea’ drop-in classes are run in partnership with Friends Ageing Better, an Age UK Bristol project. It is a meetup for seniors that includes a 30 minute Tai Chi class, followed by time to mingle and chat to others with a cup of tea, (available to buy from the Cafe).


Shibashi Tai Chi is specifically designed for older people, and can be done sitting or standing, and will help you feel refreshed, healthy and relaxed. The 1st three classes, (Jan 14th, 21th, 28th) include a free hot drink. Max. 15 people. Tai Chi is recommended for balance and coordination by the Department of Health (Fact Sheet 5 Physical activity guidelines for Older Adults (65+) 2011).


You are welcome to join these friendly gatherings on Tuesdays, at 2.30 - 3.30pmin the hall during term times. The first session starts on Jan 14th, 2020 then every Tuesday until the end of term. ( last session  24th March) 


15 people in a class. £2 a session pay as you go, first come first served. Classes take place in the Hall at the Bristol Folk House, then social in the Cafe.

 

No clas during half term on the 18th February.
