New ‘Create JOY’ Textiles for Wellbeing sessions every Friday afternoon at the Folk House.
Round off your week on a positive note with our new Textiles for Wellbeing sessions every Friday from 3pm-4.30pm.
Whether you’re an experienced sewer or a total novice, it doesn’t matter - everybody is welcome!
Simply bring along an old item of clothing or piece of fabric and we’ll Upcycle it into something new and exciting. Or if you’d prefer to work on your own project that’s absolutely fine.
We’ll provide a range of basic sewing materials & you’ll have access to sewing machines, so pop along, connect with others, share your ideas, hear about new textile related events in the city, and forget your worries in this wonderful 1.5 hour window.
Together let’s Create some JOY!
(materials provided include denim, calico, wool, felt sheets, cotton thread, scissors, tailors chalk, pins)
*Suggested donation of £5 per session to cover running costs.
