About
Jessica is a ceramic designer maker specialising in high end handbuilt porcelain tableware. Jessica discovered a passion for teaching and sharing ceramic techniques whilst studying Ceramics at Arts University Plymouth, where she worked on the National Saturday Club, an arts club for young people. Jessica has been teaching adults and creating specialised ceramic’s and design workshops since graduating in 2013, and for several years, she has designed her own weekly ceramics and specialised pottery classes to people of all ages.
Jessica is drawn to the friendly nature of the ceramic community, and celebrates this by continuing to share knowledge, techniques and ideas that have been passed onto her. She believes that everyone has the ability to make and create, and that they just need a supportive space to do so.
Jessica is thrilled to be a tutor at The Folk House and keeps her classes focused and relaxed. She has a keen eye for detail and design and discusses this with the students so they can make the best work possible. She encourages her students to work on projects that they enjoy and to make pots they are proud of.
