Jacqui has been sewing since she was a child, her Grandmother and mother were both dressmakers and taught her how to sew. Jacqui's passion and expertise have always been in sustainable fashion, she has campaigned, lectured at colleges and taught young people about the need for sustainable fashion. She has also collaborated with Oxfam and St Peters Hospice to develop up cycled collections and organise fashion shows. In 2007 Jacqui took a different career path and for ten years until March 2017 was CEO of a food waste charity, swopping sustainable fashion for sustainable food does have some similarities! She has now returned to her true love, sewing and especially up cycling. She loves finding beautiful fabric or outdated designer pieces in charity shops and transforming them into up to date, one-off treasures. Jacqui wants to inspire people to find their own up cycled creativity and style in the contents of their wardrobe and beyond. Her classes will be relaxed and informative. If you know how to sew, great, if not don't worry Jacqui will be offering tips, ideas and demonstrations on how to up cycle your clothing. Saving you money and helping to build a more sustainable world.
