About
Jo has taught pottery at Bristol Folk House since 1990s and has been the Pottery manager since 2009. Before coming to us Jo was 'potter in residence' at many schools in Bristol, Somerset and Gloucester, helping pupils and staff to design and create ceramic murals for their walls.
Jo also made her own ceramics from her studio in Clifton, exhibiting with South Wales Potters, becoming a founder member of Potters co-operative and supplying restaurant tableware. She moved her studio to Southville in 1998 and concentrated on creating large ceramic animal Play Sculptures that can be seen in Dame Emily Play Park, Bedminster.
