Peter Webb

Tutor Profile

Peter graduated with a Ba Hons in Photography from The Arts University Bournemouth in 2010. Since then he has exhibited his images, given talks and run workshops in the UK and China. Based in Bristol, he works predominately with traditional and alternative photographic techniques such as; chemigrams, photograms, pinhole cameras, and shooting & printing with film.
The reason he loves the darkroom is because the hands on process allows people to be playful with their photography. It allows people to investigate through trial and error and create images they otherwise wouldn’t have conceived of.
Currently base in a studio at The Island, his recent work investigates world creation and how form can emerge from the abstract. Using the chemigram process he paints landscapes using traditional darkroom chemistry.
