This is a fun and versatile way to create your own Stained Glass artworks using the Copper Foiling technique and is suitable for those who are new to working with glass. Copper foiling allows you to make delicate designs in 2D and 3D. On this course you will develop your confidence and making skills by undertaking a series of projects of your own design or by using templates provided by the tutor. Choosing from a beautiful selection of colours you will learn to cut glass, join and solder your pieces together. This is a hands on course that offers the opportunity learn fundamental stained glass design and making skills with the freedom to experiment and play.
Please do not wear open-toed shoes to this course.
Due to the use of lead, we do not recommend this course to pregnant women.
Some materials provided, students wishing to work on larger projects will have to contribute to materials costs.
Please note: All 10, and 12 week courses have a half term break in the middle. For term dates please visit our Contact us page. We are not open on bank holiday Mondays and any class that falls on these days will be made up at the end of term.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
