Try medium format film photography - no camera needed.
This workshop is an opportunity to try out black and white film photography with a twin lens reflex camera (6x6cm negative).
All equipment and materials are supplied. (You can bring your own medium format camera if you wish - let us know if you will be.)
You will learn the basics of a medium format film camera, shoot a roll of film and develop it in the darkroom. Cameras will be shared and you can try out several different models.
Please note there will be prolonged periods of standing in this workshop in a small space. A high level of dexterity is required.
We will be doing off site to College Green or Brandon Hill Park.
Student testimonial:
Martin's knowledge and teaching style were great, with a good balance of explanation and practice.
No need to bring anything, though you are welcome to bring your own camera if you have one (please let us know of you are doing this).
This workshop is in the darkroom, it is very much a standing workshop and in a small space.77

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
