This is an online workshop Please check material lists section below for extra details. We may be finding ourselves less stable and connected due to these strange, shifting and challenging times of the COVID pandemic with a sense of wobbliness and helplessness. This can be so unsettling and really knock us off kilter. The mind and the body are completely interlinked systems, so we can affect our mood through working with the body and vice versa. In this workshop we will how developing a sense of mindful kindness towards ourselves, focussing inwardly and bringing our awareness back to the present, can help us feel empathy, understanding and connection with those around us. Therefore, we will gain experience of how using both mindfulness and kindfulness can help us to feel more grounded, present, connected and alive. The tutor will email you an electronic link to your class in advance of the class. This will be sent to you separately to the booking confirmation.
Please bring a yoga/camping mat, cushion and blanket. You may like to bring a water bottle. You will receive an email directly from the tutor with a link to attend the meeting ahead of your class. Please ensure you book with your current email address. As this is online please ensure you have internet connection and Zoom uploaded on either a computer or tablet.
Please note: All 10, and 12 week courses have a half term break in the middle. For term dates please visit our ‘Contact us’ page. We are not open on bank holiday Monday’s and any class that falls on these days will be made up at the end of term.
Please see full terms and conditions for more information.
If a course has already started please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
