Join tutor Holly Foskett-Barnes to expand your creativity, nourish your wellbeing, and align with the moon this Summer. We can learn so much from the power and wisdom of the moon, which offers us unique gifts during each phase.
Each week will be inspired by a different moon phase: Full Moon, Last Quarter, New Moon and First Quarter.
You will learn a range of step-by-step watercolour painting techniques, mindful activities throughout the creative process, and create a portfolio of lunar artworks to take home. You will be making watercolour paintings of the moon, moths, constellations and lunar landscapes,
What you can expect from the course:
- Practical watercolour techniques
-Increased creative confidence and a mindful approach to art-making
- Guided relaxations and lunar-inspired meditations
- Experience exploring creativity through an astrological lens
- A calm, supportive space to enjoy the creative process over outcomes
No previous experience is necessary, just bring yourself and an open mind. The activities offered will be accessible for all levels and abilities.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
