Creating our own worlds for wellness - Surreal Landscape Making is a themed creative online session using art the art history movement of surrealism & individual artists as a starting point. We'll be looking at surrealist artists from all walks of life and partaking in activities that encourage creativity and inspire further exploration. Enjoy two hours of creative activities designed to help encourage artistic inspiration, explore potential bottled up emotions or just simply have time to create and enjoy mark making. Try your hand at line drawing, colour play and expressive mark making. You are encouraged to experiment with whatever materials you fancy. All the activities are designed to encourage new ideas and to alleviate any pressure in your everyday life as well as inspire further creative exploration. This course is designed for anyone wanting to connect to their creative side and is for anyone from interested beginner to well versed artists, it's about focusing on your enjoyment of the process in a safe and encouraging
No materials will be provided, the workshop can be done using just a pen/ pencil and paper, but bring any art materials you wish to use that you have at home - please feel free to use whichever art materials you like. This workshop is online so please have Zoom on your computer or tablet and an internet connection.
Please note: All 10, and 12 week courses have a half term break in the middle. For term dates please visit our ‘Contact us’ page. We are not open on bank holiday Monday’s and any class that falls on these days will be made up at the end of term.

If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
