Explore the medium of watercolour and discover its potential. This class is for those with some experience and will respond to the needs and interests of the individual. Students will be given the opportunity to draw and paint from images and real life in order to produce effective work and develop skills. Other water soluble media may be introduced to extend experimentation and technique.
Please bring with you a set of watercolour paints (student quality) is absolutely fine to begin with. A range of brushes, large and round ones are fine and a watercolour pad. As you develop your skills and approach to this medium you may wish to purchase higher quality paints and brushes. Due to COVID19 please make sure you bring everything required on the materials list as equipment will not be able to be shared. The tutor may provide some materials for your course or workshop which will be distributed following our guidelines. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
Please note: All 10, 8 and 12 week courses have a half term break in the middle. For term dates please visit our ‘Contact us’ page. We are not open on bank holiday Monday’s and any class that falls on these days will be made up at the end of term.
Please see full terms and conditions for more information.
If a course has already started please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
