A bal is the European version of a ceilidh. Most of the dances are in couples rather than sets and are easy to pick up as you go. We’ll be running a beginners dance workshop at the start of the evening to show you everything you need to get out on the dance floor.
Martin Coudroy from France plays diatonic accordion with oodles of energy, finesse and a deep connection with the dancers in front of him. He'll be playing solo for this Bristol bal, drawing on his wide experience of traditional French and European music, from Brittany to Sweden.
