An exciting new collaboration bringing some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians to the West Country.

Frances Morton (flute, whistle), Ciarán Tourish ( fiddle), Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde (song, piano) and Ed Boyd (guitar) come together for a night of energetic traditional tunes, newly composed music and expressive Gaelic song. With a wealth of experience across the Irish and international folk scenes – from Altan to Lunasa and more –these four acclaimed musicians bring their distinctive styles together to create a new powerhouse of music and song on stage.

Frances Morton is a traditional Irish flute player from Glasgow with Irish roots. She released her debut solo album in December 2024, entitled Sliocht, which captures her musical and family lineage from Scotland and Ireland. Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde — sean-nós singing

Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde is a sean-nós singer from the Donegal Gaeltacht and a winner of the Corn Uí Riada (2009) – the highest accolade in the world for sean-nós singers. He has released five albums and won Album of the Year at the NÓS Awards in 2016 for Sona do Cheird. Alongside singing, Doimnic plays piano, accordion and uilleann pipes. His work includes traditional songs, original compositions and arrangements in Gaelic.
