Join us for an evening with Julian Baggini – one of Britain’s most prominent public philosophers – to hear what a lifetime of philosophy can teach us about the art of flourishing in today’s world.

Aristotle identified flourishing as the highest good for humanity. But what did he mean by that? Are we as human beings any closer to flourishing now than we were in ancient Greece? And if not, why not?

In answering these questions, Julian will explore how the modern world leads us to repeatedly lose sight of what is truly of value in life and why individual and collective flourishing is so elusive today. Drawing on themes that have emerged across several of his 20+ books, he will offer insights for how we might live the good life every day – in small ways as well as big – and help those around us to do the same.
