“something truly special.” - Folk Radio UK

Jess Morgan is a songwriter’s songwriter. A cerebral storyteller. Her performance is a tumbler of unfancied folk-roots music, with heart, passion and gusto. Inspired by storytelling songwriters like Nancy Griffith, the playfulness of Devon Sproule and upfront British voices like Billy Bragg As well as crafting songs, Jess also hand crafts her own DIY vinyl records. In a recent article The 405 called her “a true DIY artist in her element. Seriously, she does it all.”
The past 5 years have seen Jess cement her place in the burgeoning folk, roots and Americana scene throughout the UK and Europe. Her music has attracted the ears of BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Uncut, The Telegraph, The Guardian, R2 and Folk Radio UK, to name a few. Her new album ‘Edison Gloriette’ follows on from her 2015 release ‘The Bournemouth EP’ which sold-out its limited edition run in less than 24 hours.

Kitty Macfarlane is a Somerset-based singer and songwriter. Kitty's songs are charged with a sense of place – more often than not her home county of Somerset & her lyrics combine honest snapshots of everyday humanity with much bigger questions. Her debut EP Tide & Time received outstanding reviews and national airplay on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show as well as other regional BBC radio shows. The EP features Sam Kelly (co-producer), Jamie Francis, Lukas Drinkwater, Ciaran Algar and others.
After being nominated in 2015 as a BBC Young Folk Award semi-finalist, the last year has taken Kitty on extensive national tour supporting Blair Dunlop. Kitty is now an Associate Artist at Halsway Manor, National Centre for Folk Arts.
