Maddi O'Brien

 

Hailing from the hills of Eastern NSW, Australia, travelling troubadour Maddi O’Brien sings ambient folk and melodious lover blues with a warbling bush twist. Her sultry words of poetry come to life as if your own distant memories...

Leaving Australia with a one-way ticket in her early 20s, she quickly fell into a life of adventure and vagabondage, traversing across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa for several years with eccentric folk from all walks of life. She busked on the streets of the Northern Hemisphere both solo and with other nomadic travellers from the laneways of Northern Italy to the footbridges of South Portugal, to the railway stations of Berlin and the esplanades of Istanbul, learning local folk songs as well as the ballads of the gypsies along the way. 

The last 12 months saw her on the lineups of; Woodford Folk Festival (AU), A Festival Called Panama (AU), Shambhala In Your Heart (Thailand), Folk On The Lawn (Wales) and Yungaburra Folk Festival. She is currently touring Europe, playing intimate concerts in gardens, bars, galleries and festivals. 

The singer/songwriter has recently debuted her independent album “Deprivation Blues,” a 9-track collection of intimate, husky lullabies that shimmer with dreamy nostalgia, exploring themes from mental health to unrequited love & loss woven with vulnerable lyricism so raw it feels as if a disclosure of secrets, reflecting her own authentic underground.

We do our best to monitor our social media pages and delete posts from scam ticket sellers, but some still manage to slip the net as we are a small team and do not have the capacity to constantly monitor all of our event pages on social media.

We never accept tickets purchased from unofficial ticket agents or social media platforms.

If an event is sold out – we can refund ticket holders wanting to return tickets provided we have a guaranteed buyer on the waiting list and it is before Friday 12pm on the weekend of the event. Therefore there is never a need to buy from anywhere except for official ticket selling sites (our website, Headfirst, Seetickets. Ticketsellers, Skiddle, Eventbrite or any site that is linked on our website for the event). If in doubt, please contact us before making any purchases.
