“Simpson has become a fine interpreter of traditional and other songs, as well as a notable writer of his own” The Times
Whether playing traditional folk songs from England, American blues or his own original work, Martin Simpson is renowned for his fingerstyle guitar prowess.
Having released his debut album Golden Vanity in 1976, the virtuosic instrumentalist has continued to carve a legacy as one of the foremost acoustic guitar players worldwide with 32 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards to his name.
At the core of his work is an intricate narrative essence, delivered with nuanced and emotive dexterity. In addition to his expansive solo music, Simpson has collaborated with the likes of Richard Hawley, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and Irish trad-folk band Danù.
Tickets are available online, over the phone or in person.
