Big one for fans of lore, necromancy and mob mentality: freak folk tales from forgotten lands meet a horologist bound to the ‘techno rock promise’. Scops perform the mythical avant-garde opera of Greya and Glibyun before committing their oral mythology to record, joined by enigmatic experimental quester Goodiepal.

Scops

Greya and Glibyun is a sonic folktale performed by Avant folk ensemble Scops. Scops will take you to a remote island deep in our spiritual past to tell the story of Greya, a barren peasant woman caught between two religious worlds. On this island we will learn how Greya came to undertake a journey to achieve her lifelong wish for motherhood. This story will be told through seven songs, theatrically brought to life at The Bristol Folk House for an immersive story telling experience

Fundraising for their soon-to-be-released record.

FFO: motherhood (or lack thereof), mob mentality, wet sands, necromancy, dry old cows.

Goodiepal

An enigma of experimental electronic music. Hailing from the Faroe Islands, composer, lecturer, artist, mandolin player and fully trained horologist. Goodiepal and pals sail the high seas to bring their sound to the people of Bristol.
