‘Sub-par hawks’ are a three-piece LOW tribute band who formed in 2025. Ben (guitar and vocals) and Ross (bass and vocals), know each other from primary school in Aberdeen, Scotland in the 1970’s. Ross and Lucy perform together as the duo ‘Half-Lies’. Apart from performing a set at Aust Village Fete, billed to play just before the Dog Show, on 04/07 2026, this will be their first gig!

Expect an evening of beautiful, quiet, relaxing, yet intense music, played by three very experienced musicians, with decades of gigs under their belts between them. They are also all huge LOW fans. This passion and love for the music they will play, should make for a memorable evening in the wonderful surroundings of Bristol Folk House Café.
