Adam (b. 2001) is a photographer, darkroom printer, and book-maker whose practice is rooted in traditional, hands on photographic processes. His work centres on the physical output of images, whether through silver-gelatin printing or the creation of handbound books.
During his BA in Photography at York St John University, Adam developed a strong foundation in bookmaking, producing a wide range of handcrafted books that became integral to his projects. His final major project, The Black on a Butterfly’s Wing, follows the traces of a darkroom printer working in and out of the print room, reflecting his deep engagement with analogue photographic craft.
Adam has recently relocated to Bristol after being accepted onto the MA Fine Art Photography programme at the University of the West of England, where he continues to explore the material and tactile qualities of photographic practice.
