Freia Groves

About

Freia (she/her) is a creative facilitator and artist with a background in tailoring and fashion design. She has spent much of her career working alongside artisan communities in East Africa, collaborating to create craft pieces rooted in shared skills and local traditions.

During this time, she learned the art of natural dyeing, working closely with botanists and artisans in Zanzibar to explore plant-based colour and sustainable making practices.

Now based in the South West of the UK, Freia shares this work through workshops, inviting others to explore the creative and therapeutic possibilities of working with plants as natural pigments.
