Tutor Profile

About

Lee is an established Folk House tutor, specialising in Digital Photography. Lee is qualified in Further and Adult Education, with 20 years of experience in teaching. Back in 1987, Lee gained a BA (Hons) in Printed Textile Design, which led to work in Print and DTP. She is a Photoshop ACE with expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom.

Lee enjoyed 10 years as a member of the North Bristol Arts Trail, organising exhibitions and producing prints and cards for commercial use. A love of colour and pattern is evident in her print designs, created from digital photographs and with mandalas (circle of life) as a recurring theme. Macro photography of flowers, butterflies and bees are now a special interest.

Lee is an active member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and the Bristol Photographic Society (BPS). In the past, she has been involved in courses and talks on the camera club circuit. Lee shoots with DSLR and mirrorless cameras and has a range of photographic equipment available for students to use. She works from her studio in Bristol BS7 and is also a mentor/manager of Focus Mentoring, a business specialising in Education and Mental Health for vulnerable young people and adults.
