After a 20 year career as a garden designer I now spend all my time growing flowers to sell in gift bouquets to my local community of Bristol (bestofthebunch.co.uk) along side teaching simple floristry techniques. I believe passionately in sharing ways to enjoy the beauty of nature and the pleasure of creativity. I have been fortunate to have been taught by some of the key florists that are part of the sustainable floristry movement that I am proud to be part of and is growing in size and influence in the UK. I like to teach by demonstration intially and then gentle guidance where I am invited to comment. I feel each person creativity is unique but can be enhanced by exloring techniques, being open to experimentation and of course good old fashioned practise.
