Building Confidence in Sharing our Creativity course
Week 1: What do we want to share and what blocks us?
Week 2: How and where can we share our work?
Week 3: How can we build productive work habits?
Week 4: How do we make money from our creativity?
Week 5: Presenting our project and planning next steps.
This is a course for people who have a creative practice they want to share with the world and potentially make money from. Outside the sessions participants will develop a creative project to share with the group. Over the course we will explore creative networks and opportunities in Bristol and surrounding areas. We will develop business ideas and approaches for making money from our work. Collaboratively we will research and pool ideas to help one another move forward. Using coaching tools and frameworks we will explore the narratives that keep creatives in any medium feeling safe but stuck. We will experiment with mindsets and habits to make us more productive and flow creatively. At the end of the course people will present their weekly project and leave with next steps for moving out into the world.
I will facilitate an exploratory process, where as a group, people will be invited to share their knowledge and experience. The aim is for participants to leave with greater clarity and freedom to create and share their work.
Please note this is not a therapy space: participants are advised to be mindful about what they share about themselves in order to leave feeling safe and complete.
It is a discussion based course, therefore students would need to feel comfortable engaging in group discussions.
A pen and something to write on.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
