Courses description

If you are new to making pottery, this course is ideal for you. During the first half of the term you will design, make, decorate and glaze several types of hand-built decorative and useful pots, working in a creative environment with other students. The second half of the term begins with an introduction to using the potters wheel, after which you may focus on this technique or return to developing your design and hand-building skills by completing your own projects.

Some students choose to repeat this broad and structured course.

Student testimonials:

Supportive friendly atmosphere. Margaret’s extensive knowledge and willingness to share and teach others about all things pottery is great.

Being given enough instruction but it wasn't constricting us to do something very specific and Margaret advised us how we could achieve our own style/designs.

The pottery course is excellent. Margaret goes above and beyond to help her students.
