Supporting Vitality Without Burnout
Many people feel stuck in a cycle of fatigue, brain fog, and pushing through on stress, caffeine, or willpower. This workshop offers a clear, accessible look at how the body produces energy, and how modern life can get in the way of that process.
This workshop will go through the basics of how energy is made in the body, including the role of mitochondria, and how carbohydrates and fats are used as fuel. From there, we will explore what commonly disrupts energy production, with a particular focus on stress, blood sugar imbalance, and the stress and energy cycle, where short-term stress hormones keep us going, but at a long-term cost.
Rather than quick fixes or restrictive approaches, the emphasis is on understanding your body better and learning how to support energy more sustainably. We will look at the role of food, key nutrients, and everyday habits that help stabilise energy levels and reduce crashes, in ways that are realistic and adaptable to different lives and health situations.
This workshop is suitable for anyone experiencing fatigue, burnout, or inconsistent energy, including people managing stress, caring responsibilities, or ongoing health challenges. No prior nutrition or science knowledge is needed.
The session combines clear, relatable teaching, practical examples, space for reflection and questions, and simple take-home ideas you can experiment with at your own pace.
Bring a notebook and pen.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
