This is an online writing workshop experimenting with poetry and prose. The aim is to see how we can develop our writing in response to a particular aspect of the natural world which has been developed by EarthWatch in the UK and that is the planting of micro forests in urban areas as suggested by the Japanese botanist Miyawaki, so we will concentrate on small trees and small forests and small pieces of writing. https://microforests.co.uk/
If you can visit any area of the natural world, garden, wood, park or meadow and make notes on what you see, hear and experience that would be useful but not essential.
Students will need laptops and be ready to write and to talk about woods and forests.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
