Mark Making and Pattern in Drawing is a one day course led by Phil Goss exploring ways to enrich our drawing practice.
During the day you will experiment with processes that will help unlock new methods of depicting the subject in interesting and original ways. We will use different exercises and materials to expand our mark making and drawing language. Throughout the course we will look at references from other artists.
We will use inks and different drawing tools to expand our repertoire of mark making. The morning session will focus on mark making in still life. After the break we will think about the figure and pattern using a life model.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
