Why do we dream? Do scientists really know? Is there more to our dreams than just the manifestation of our subconscious minds? What are our dreams trying to tell us? Can we use our dreams to enhance our personal growth and creativity?
In this five-week course, we’ll dive deep into the meaning of our dreams and how we can decipher their messages.
We will cover:
What science knows about dreams and dreaming.
The different kinds of dreams, including run-of-the-mill subconscious dreams, anxiety dreams, nightmares and the more meaningful lucid dreams, clairvoyant dreams, warning dreams and symbolic dreams.
Techniques to remember your dreams.
Dream journaling.
How to recognise your dream signs and unique dream language.
How to create an intention for a dream, to address a particular situation or problem in waking life (called incubation or intentional dreams).
How to interpret the messages received through intentional dreams.
Resolving day-time situations through dream re-enactment. Consolidating dream messages through dream re-entering.
We will build on our knowledge and practice week by week and, working as a group, we will report back and share dream experiences, gaining insights from each other in a friendly and supportive environment.
As a lucid dreaming practitioner and facilitator, my goal is to help people gain greater awareness of their dreams and to learn to harness the wisdom and guidance of their dreams. You’ll be inspired and engaged and surrounded by like-minded people who share your passion for the dream world. So, if you’re interested in mindfulness, meditation, and personal and spiritual growth, then this course is for you!

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
