Inner calm with breath and meditation.
This workshop is an invitation to pause and gently turn inward through breath and guided meditation. Meditation and breathwork are woven throughout the session to invite in a feeling of ease and connection to the body.
Guided meditation offers a steady, reassuring focus, while conscious breathing helps shift the nervous system out of stress and into a state of rest. When combined, these practices can be especially powerful - helping the mind to soften, the body to release held tension, and a sense of inner calm to arise naturally.
For those who have found meditation difficult in the past, using the breath as an anchor can make the practice feel far more accessible. You are guided step by step, with no need to "clear the mind" or do anything perfectly. The session moves at an unhurried pace, with options to sit or lie down, and space to integrate between practices. No prior experience is needed.
This workshop is well suited to anyone seeking a quieter, more grounded state, whether you are new to meditation and breathwork or returning to it in a gentle, supportive way.
A yoga mat and blanket. Please wear comfortable clothes. The Folk House does have yoga mats if you need to borrow one.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
