Pottery

Our facilities include seven electric wheels and a kick wheel, two large kilns and test kiln, damp-store, moulds, decorative slips, underglazes, glazes and more. We use smooth white stoneware clay, Crank (Raku type clay) and Earthenware.

 

What is Your Pottery Level? 

 

Completely new to Pottery

Monday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, and Wednesday and Thursday evenings: beginners' classes. Saturday Workshops..

 

Have attended one or two beginner classes

Repeat a beginner class with a different tutor - as above or if see below.

 

Have completed a full beginners course in both throwing and hand-building techniques and have sufficient knowledge of the basics of materials, tools and processes to launch into own projects with support and can work for much of the session independently

Monday or Tuesday day studios or evenings, Wednesday or Thursday pm improver classes.

 

Confident with own ability and skills and starting to develop own style

Courses not found

All our courses run for either 6 or 12 weeks in the Autumn term, and 5 or 10 weeks in Spring and Summer. We also run Saturday workshops throughout the year and summer school one day workshops. If you cannot find what you are looking for please give us a call.
